Quiz night (2024)

Get organised

Find your venue

You could organise yours at home or go big and pick a lovely local venue, like a pub or community hall. Some venues might let you use the space for free if you let them know you’re organising a charity quiz – worth asking!

Pick a date and time

Try to think of who you’re inviting and pick a time that’ll work for as many people as possible.

Invite everyone

Make sure you invite people early, so they can get it in their diaries! Email, text and shout about your event on social media!

Prepare your questions in advance

There are lots of quiz questions available on the internet to help you get inspired. Think about adding fun rounds or pick a specific theme? Questions and decorations could all tie in. Prepare and print simple answer sheets and grab plenty of pens

Find your Quiz Master

Is there anyone in your friendship group that would be a fabulous funny Quiz Master? Get them involved. Or maybe you’re the one!

Get some prizes

Ask local businesses if they’d be happy to donate some prizes or you could also ask your friends if they have anything they’d like to give away. You could even host a raffle at the end to raise some more money, if you manage to secure enough prizes!

On the night

Set it all up

Arrive as early as you can to give yourself time to get set up. Pre-arrange the furniture into small groups so people can get into their teams when they arrive. Decorate the venue with our balloons, banners and collection boxes – contact us to request your materials. Give us a call a few weeks before the event and we’ll get some sent out to you

Tell everyone why their support matters

Find 5 minutes just before starting the quiz to let everyone know why you decided to raise money for Asthma + Lung UK and thank everyone for their support at the end of your event.
