If you're an accountant or a ProAdvisor, use QuickBooks Online Accountant to connect to your clients' accounts. This version of QuickBooks lets you review their books, edit transactions, and fix issues. It also gives you enhanced bookkeeping toolsand access to ProAdvisor benefits.
QuickBooks Online Accountant is mainly for supportingQuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Self-Employed clients. If your clients use QuickBooks Desktop,you can also download software and certifications from QuickBooks Online Accountant.
Sign up for QuickBooks Online Accountant
You can create a new QuickBooks Online Accountant firm directly from our website, or an invite sent by a client.
Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
Follow the steps to create an account.
When you're finished, you'll have a brand new QuickBooks Online Accountant firm.
If you use QuickBooks, TurboTax, or other Intuit products
Ask your client to send the invite to the email address connected to your existing user ID. Tip: If you want to create a brand new profile, ask them to send it to a different email address.
Open the invite email and select the Accept Invitation link.
Sign in with your user ID and password.

What's the difference between QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Online Accountant? QuickBooks Online Accountant is a cloud-based portal that allows an accountant to access their clients' data in QuickBooks Online from any computer.
Select the Gear icon on the Toolbar, then Manage Users.
Select the Accountants tab.
Invite your accountant. If this is your first time adding an accountant, enter your accountant's email and select Invite. If you've added an accountant already, select Invite accountant.
Select Accountants tab. If you are inviting an accountant for the first time, enter the accountant's email address, then select Invite. Follow the prompt to verify your account. If you are adding a second accountant, select Invite then enter their name and email address, then select Save.
Accountant users can review your books, make corrections, and collaborate on issues. Make sure you trust anyone you add as an Accountant User. They also have the ability to undo reconciliations, reclassify transactions, and write off invoices. Within QuickBooks, you can add up to two Accountant Users.
