en WordPress.com Forums Suddenly TINY images. Help!Please?
Hoping for some help.
My website is Bolitzerbaloney.com
I added a new category to my main menu on the top page.
The layout was, and still is, weird.
I went into the CSS and changed the font size.
Suddenly all my images are super small.
I can’t fix it.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
Changes like adding a category to the main menu or changing font size shouldn’t affect image sizes.
The problem with your images being so small is happening because you have set the Content Width to be 20px in Appearance > Customize in your blog dashboard. If you go to that page, delete the 20px part, and save the change—that should fix the problem in your case.
Thank you! If you could just help me with tow more things …. My avator is still super tiny, how can I fix this? And the reason i got myself into this mess to begin with: I want the categories in the menu on the top of the page to be in a single line, and it keeps becoming two. Can you help! I really appreciate this, I just launched a new character and I’ve been unable to confidently post.

Avatars appear in lots of places. Where exactly is it appearing too small for you? I did check http://bolitzerbaloney.com/ just now, but I didn’t see an avatar that looked too small. Can you provide a link to where I can see the problem happening?

What’s happening is that you have adjusted the font size using Custom CSS and it’s making the menu items too large so they’re falling over onto two lines. The extra space on the left is for the site title and tagline, but you’ve opted not to display those, so it looks blank.
Since you have the Custom Design upgrade, you can use custom CSS to adjust the width of the menu container by adding something like this to your Appearance > Customize > CSS editor:
.navigation-main {margin-left: 0;margin-right: 0;max-width: 100%;}
It might also look nice to center the menu container. You can center like this:
#masthead {text-align: center;}.navigation-main {float: none;display: inline-block;}
If you have further CSS questions, you should post each one in a separate help request at https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization/
@shaudin, if you don’t have the Custom Design upgrade, then the issue with setting the Content Width too small can’t be the same as bolitzer’s.
Have you checked to make sure the sizes are setup correctly in your Settings > Media page?
If you’re still having trouble after that, please reply back here with a link to one example where the problem is happening and point out which image is displaying too small.
Hi, yes, everything seems to be ok with Settings>Media. It’s difficult to show what’s happening because images change size at any time and on any post. One day the images on a post are ok, next day are super small and next day are ok again. Sometimes they change in few hours or an hour or in minutes. I have images from years ago that were fine all these years (I check posts often to make sure everything is ok)) until recently.
I’m sending few links. Right now there are reduced images (one or several) but I don’t know if that’ll be the case when you’ll open them.

Thanks.Okay. Now that you have updated the sizes in Settings > Media, try clearing your browser cache:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clear-your-cache-and-cookiesIf you still see image sizes fluctuating after that, let me know and I can try to walk through some steps with you to try to gather more data. Hopefully the settings change resolved the issue though.

640px × 480pxI just checked http://shaudin.wordpress.com/ again, and I see the cat picture at a large size as well.
@shaudin, if you are still having trouble, can you tell us what browser and browser version are you using?
Thank you everybody for your answers.
Yes, the cat is ok in my computers too. It was ok few hours after I sent it to you. This is what’s happening, images change sometimes in a matter of hours. One is ok, hours later, or days later, is super small, then happens with any other image, and so on. When I click a small image, opens in another window and I go back to the original page, the image is ok… until hours or days later.
I’m sure it has nothing to do with my computer at home because when I try with my computer at the university is exactly the same (the same images appear reduced or ok as in my home computer half hour earlier). I also tried with my friends computers and it’s the same. I use Explorer at home and Firefox at work. The result is exactly the same.This sounds like a difficult issue to catch in action when you’re looking for it (like I am). I can’t see the problem happening, so it would help tons if you would be willing to document the issue with screenshots exactly like thebirdingbunch did here:
