How does photo verification work? ›

What is Photo Verification? Photo Verification provides an opportunity for you to help show potential matches that you really look like your photos. To get Photo Verified, you'll submit a short video selfie that will be compared to your profile photos using facial recognition technology.

If your verification photo doesn't look like the person in your profile photo, or you submit a photo of an existing photo, or submit an otherwise non-compliant photo, access to your account may be waitlisted for 24 hours or suspended indefinitely.

The most common reason why users aren't able to verify their profile is that they're not replicating the pose of the model in the example photo. Make sure you're not just taking a selfie; instead copy the model's hand gesture in the example photo.

Here's how: Tap the verify button, either in your profile or on another person's badge. You'll be prompted with an example of one of a hundred random photo poses by Bumble. Take a selfie mimicking that pose and send it to the Bumble administrators using the simple step-by-step verification process outlined in-app.

The document verification process can usually be broken down into four steps: document collection, data extraction, document validation, and manual verification. Digital document verification can help you meet regulatory requirements, mitigate fraud, build trust, and onboard customers faster.

The process works by comparing a person's unique characteristics (e.g. facial biometrics or fingerprints) with verified data held by an officially recognized source, such as a passport or national ID card.

Your profile photo must be approved before it appears on your account. The approval typically takes 2 hours. Once approved, your photo updates on both your rider and driver accounts.

Check that you're using the same email address and phone number that you used when you first signed up and began your background check. You would have gotten an email from Checkr to the email address you entered. Verify that your credentials are free of any typos.

All denied photos will be reviewed immediately by real people to help verify accuracy. If your verification photo doesn't look like the person in your profile photo or you submit a photo of an existing photo, access to your account may be suspended indefinitely.

You won't be able to continue using Bumble.

If a user reports your profile as a potential fake and you're not able to pass photo verification, your account will be deactivated.

Bumble created this feature to prevent and remove fake accounts, and it works by asking the profile owner to take a real-time selfie in a randomly-chosen pose. This selfie is then reviewed against the photos they've uploaded to their profile by a member of Bumble's support team.

From time to time, we require members to verify their photos. Typically, we do this to ensure that an account is not fake or operated by a robot, or if we have a suspicion that the member may be under 18 years of age.

You can use match.com for free to browse profiles in a browser using the "search" feature and you are not required to post a photo or any identifying information. Bumble, Tinder, and Feeld all have "incognito" mode with a paid subscription, which means no one will see your profile unless you swipe right on them.

Once they submit their picture, both automation tools and human moderators will review the image and the member will be notified within minutes if their profile is confirmed for verification. If they're verified, a blue verification badge will be added to their profile.

If you choose to verify your profile photo, we will scan each photo that you submit. The scan may include the use of facial recognition technology so that we can compare the photo you submit to your profile photo, to help ensure that you are who you say you are.
